... set up a baby pot?

A baby pot is a good way to put together some cash for the family of a newborn.
To set up a baby pot on the Host a Pot page:
  • Use weight vs. length as teams. - Instead of opposing football teams' scores, use the newborn's birth weight and length to determine the winner of the pot.

  • Use the metric system. - Use metric measurements so that any digit between 0 and 9 is equally likely to win. Weight should be in centimeters; length in kilograms.

  • Use the first digit after the decimal. - Instead of whole numbers, use the first digit after the decimal point as the determining numbers. This makes the odds of winning as even as possible for any set of numbers.

  • Choose cash or prize award. - You can split cash from the pot's proceeds with the baby's family or award another prize to the pot winner and give all the cash to the family. See: ... set up a charity raffle

TIP: Be sure to explain how your pot works in the Comments field.
